Goldie C. Durkin, (nee Vidmich) age 84, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.  Goldie was a member of St. Matthias Church.  She was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School.  She was an avid mystery reader and loved to crochet.  Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Durkin, Sr and 7 sisters and 1 brother.  She is survived by her children, Joyce (David) Harris, Edward (Jean) Durkin, Jr.  and Diane Durkin; 2 grandchildren, Melissa (Brandon) Rainwater and Scott Harris; 3 great-grandchildren, Owen, Milo, and Jude; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Rykovich.

Friends may visit with Goldie’s family on Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home.  Rev.
