Carolyn B. (nee Tallant) Powell, age 54 of Hobart, passed away March 23, 2013. She was a former employee of Hobart and Portage High School Food Services. Carolyn was the loving wife and friend of Jim, loving mother of Justin (Theresa), George (Kelli), Rachel (fiancé Tom Edwards). She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, parents George “Pete” and Judy Tallant, sisters Cheryl Campbell of Arkansas and Barbara (Norm) Clemens of Kouts, grandmother Adabelle Grasham of Hobart and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and four legged buddies-Teddy, Liberty and Cali. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Funeral Service at 7 p.m. Pastor Ryan McDowell officiating. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to the family will be appreciated.
