Keith T. Komenich, age 71 of Hobart, passed away December 11, 2012. He graduated from Horace Mann High School, Class of 1959 and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a sergeant with the Gary Police Department and was a member of the Gary Masonic Lodge #677. He was preceded in death by parents William and Marian (nee Johnson) Komenich; sisters Theodora Komenich and Susan Gonzales; niece Kristina Komenich and wife Connie Barnes Komenich. Keith is survived by his son Kristopher T. Komenich of Merrillville; sister Kathy (Wayne) Hencz of Duluth, MN; brother Richard (Brenda) Komenich of Indianapolis, a niece, nephew and several cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, December 17, 2012, from 5 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St., Hobart. Masonic Lodge 677 service at 6:30 p.m.
