VAN EVANOFF, SR

Van Evanoff, Sr age 87 of Valparaiso, IN passed away Thursday September 14, 2012 with his loving family by his side. Van was an original founding member of SS Peter & Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral. Mr Evanoff was a talented handy man who enjoyed helping others. He was a retired carpenter of Local 1005. Van is survived by his wife of 50 years Donna Evanoff; daughter Susan (Todd) Papesh; son Van (Tonya) Evanoff, Jr; grandchildren Christopher Mitic, Van Jonathan Evanoff, & Elia Evanoff; Brother Marko of Bulgaria, and many other nieces, nephews and dear family friends. Van was preceded in death by his parents Petko & Cveta, sister Slavka Petrova, and in-laws George& Velika Spirich.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 10 AM directly at SS. Peter & Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 9700 Broadway Crown Point with V. Rev Tome Stamatov, officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 3 PM to 8 PM at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. A Pomen service will be offered at 7 PM, Monday.
