Susan Snyder Lesnick, age 73, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.  She was born in Gary, IN, the daughter of Jack T. Snyder and Margaret Considine Snyder. Susan was a graduate of Holy Angels Catholic Grade School Class of 1954 and Horace Mann High School Class of 1958.  Her classmates selected her as Queen of her freshman class and as Homecoming Queen at Horace Mann as a senior.  Her many friendships from Horace Mann have remained strong over the years.  She attended Butler University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.  Susan was a cheerleading sponsor and volleyball coach at St. Mary’s in Crown Point. She was an ardent, life-long Chicago Cubs fan.  Despite some serious health challenges during the past 15 years, Susan retained an incredibly positive attitude and made many friends at St. Anthony Nursing Home in Crown Point where she resided since 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Timothy Snyder.

Susan is survived by three children, Kristin (late Joe) Maglish of Crown Point, Larry (Mary Lynn) Lesnick of Indianapolis, and Megann Lesnick of Chicago, IL; three grandsons, Connor, Caden, and Turner Lesnick; brother, Jack R. (Jennifer) Snyder of Indianapolis, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends may visit with Susan’s family on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN and on Monday, Oct 15, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Nursing Home, 203 Franciscan Drive, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Home.  Service will terminate at the nursing home.  www.burnsfuneral.com
