Adele Denise Taylor Terry, age 84, of Gary & Merrillville, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. She moved with her parents to Gary in 1952.  She retired from USX Accounting Department and the City of Gary Law Department in 1990.  She was preceded in death by parents, Floyd and Marjorie (Taylor) Schick; only son, Lance Corporal Gary James Taylor, USMC; brothers, Floyd Schick and William Waldier, sister, Marian Urish and husbands, Simon Choncoff and Stanley Allen Terry.  She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Margaret Waldier of Valparaiso and Ann Marie Schick of CA; nephew, Ronald (Patricia) Waldier of Valparaiso; nieces, Ruth Ann (Larry) Drake of Hobart, Marjorie Neal and Sindia (Chris) Warren of Salinas, CA.  special friends, Victoria Portis Ward of Gary and Gilberta Garcia and Barbara Stolzmann of Merrillville. “Dee” was an avid reader, a lover of all music, she loved dancing and was a stylish dresser.  She was a joy to her friends and was known as “Miss Sunshine”.  Dee will be greatly missed by all.  She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Merrillville, IN,

Friends may visit with Dee’s family on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. Rev. William Hudson officiating.
