Mary Hart, age 94 of Hobart, passed away on January 4, 2013.  She was formerly an active member of Descent of the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church.  She worked for many years as a beautician and enjoyed gardening.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents – John and Maria Lazar; 3 husbands – Robert Hart, Lee Steinbrenner and Nick Brandush; son – Dennis Brandush; 3 brothers – Eli, John and Nick Lazar; 2 sisters – Helen Turner and Jean Frum.  She is survived by daughter – Janet (James) Franz of FL; son – Barry Steinbrenner of Hobart; daughter-in-law – Sharon Brandush of Hobart; 5 grandchildren – Jason Franz of FL, Jamie Franz of OH, Dawn (Eric) Lindborg of MI; Melissa Lyons of Ft. Wayne and Scott Brandush of Hobart; great-grandchildren – Claire and Leah Lindborg and Emma and Addison Lyons; 2 brothers – Dan Lazar of Valparaiso and Steve Lazar of Hebron; 2 sisters – Minerva Williams of Crown Point and Vicki Mathis of Hebron; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Descent of the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church, 750 W. 61^st Ave., Merrillville, Fr. Thomas Frisby officiating.  Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart.  Friends are invited to meet with Mary’s family on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7^th St., Hobart.  A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Descent of the Holy Ghost Romanian Orthodox Church or VNA Hospice of Porter County.  www.burnsfuneral.com
