Ronnell L. Eland, age 78 of Hobart, passed away January 8, 2013.  He was a retired machinist from U.S. Steel and a veteran of the U. S. Army.  Ronnell was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian and son Glenn.  He is survived by his daughter Vanessa (John) Breese of Hobart; 6 grandchildren Jonathan, Mike, Gerald, Ian, Melissa and Lesley; 4 sisters Nancy, Sandy, Ruthie and Carol; uncle Edward (Ann) Eland of Griffith and numerous nieces and nephews. A military service will be held at Graceland Cemetery Mausoleum, 1505 E. Morthland Dr., Valparaiso on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 1 p.m.  Burns Funeral Home, Hobart in charge of arrangements.
