Janina Haro, age 71, of Merrillville, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013.

Janina was a member of the Salvatorian Fathers Monastery in Merrillville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blas Haro and her parents, Jozef and Stefania (Nowak) Piesyk.

She is survived by her sons: John, Mark and Adam Haro, grandson Mark Irby, brother Krys (Lottie) Piesyk and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Laureano and Sara Haro and many nieces, nephews and cousins;  and other family members in Poland.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Mrs. Haro will lie in state at the Salvatorian Fathers Monastery, 5755 Pennsylvania Street, Merrillville, on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 a.m. Father Rafal Ziajka officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
