Phyllis M. Armstrong, age 92, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013.  Phyllis was a graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt High School and attended Indiana University.  She was a former librarian at the East Chicago Library.  She loved gardening, fishing, reading, and was very interested in Science.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Strauch & Janice Schofield, and brother William Briska.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ralph S. Armstrong of Crown Point; 2 sons, Robert (Bonnie) Armstrong of Crown Point, IN and John (Eileen) Armstrong of Ohio; daughter, Lynn Armstrong of Crown Point; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2013at 2:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating.
