Kristin L. Smith-Schnurlein (nee Paper), age 43, of Merrillville, formerly of Crown Point passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. Kristin attended Thorton Fractional North High School in Calumet City, IL.

Kristin was preceded in death by her husbands: Michael J. Smith and Steven L. Schnurlein.

She is survived by her mother, Janice (James) Bober of Lowell, father, Robert Paper of Dyer, sisters: Vickie (James) Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, Lisa (Robert) Adamczyk of Dyer and Lori (William) Morgan of Lowell and many nieces and nephews. Four children: Jacob D. Smith, Stephanie Lynn Smith, Jennifer Schnurlein and Steven Schnurlein.

Friends may visit with Kristin’s family on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 12 noon to 2:00 pm at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will precede the services.
