Spencer A. Shreve, age 37, of DeMotte, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012, due to an automobile accident.  He was a hard man to love, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way.  He is survived by 2 sons, Private Jacob Shreve, U.S. Army & Gram Shreve; 1 daughter, Sidney Shreve; parents, James Shreve and Janet Shreve; sister, Elizabeth McFarland; nephew, Specialist Andrew (Lindy) McFarland, U. S. Army; grandmothers, Dorothy Shreve and Gertrude Veach and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral service will be held on Friday at 7:00p.m at Burns Funeral Home.  Services will terminate at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Shreve Family.
