Dorothy M. “Bonnie” Kleckner, age 82, a Hobart resident since 1951, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, while residing at Miller’s Senior Living in Portage, IN.

Bonnie was a retired certified ceramics teacher. She was a member of the Center Ring Clown Alley #184, the Chicago Clown Guild, the Midwest Clowns, the World Clown Association and the Clown Hall of Fame. She was a graduate of Tolleston High School, Class of 1948.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marge Ryan and Kay Arnold. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lyle “Tootie” Kleckner; 1 daughter, Cindy (Herb) Kuehn of Westville, IN; 3 sons: Larry (Mavis) Kleckner of Valparaiso, IN, Ron (Joyce) Kleckner of Sebastian, FL, and Tom (Nancy) Kleckner of LaPorte, IN; 5 grandchildren, Zak Kleckner of Vero Beach, FL, Jake (Cori) Kleckner of Melbourne, FL, Aimee (Sean) Funkhouser of Westville, IN, Amber (Dave) Linsemeyer of Michigan City, IN, and Adam (Melissa) Kuehn of North Judson, IN; great-grandchildren, Gavin & Gracie Funkhouser, Lily & Lacie Linsemeyer, & Faith, Zoe, Ian, and Ezra Kleckner.
