Stanley M. Sakiewicz, age 68 of Hobart, succumbed to various forms of cancer after a long and courageous fight on April 6, 2013.  He was born in 1944 in German occupied Poland.  Stan was a former employee of Parker-Hannifin & also Olson Rug in Chicago.  Lydia and Michael were a great support to their father and mother during this trying time.  Stan is survived by his daughter, Lydia (Mark) McKinney of Portage; son – Michael (Monika) Sakiewicz of Schiller Park, IL; grandchildren – Scott Watson, Rylie McKinney and Natalia Sakiewicz; former wife, Sandie Schlichting and her brother Skip (Linda) Schlichting of Paddock Lake, WI; niece and nephews – Debbie, Dan, Howie, Brian Schlichting.  In fulfillment of Stan’s wishes services will be private.  Burns Funeral Home, Hobart in charge of arrangements.
