Sophie Sprusansky, age 97, formerly of Crown Point and Gary, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012.    Sophie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sprusansky, 2 daughters, Sonia Ottoson and Sandra Sprusansky, sister, Tee Bobeck, brother, Kayo Wroblewski, and mother, Sofia Wroblewski.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Fred) Wukich of Crown Point; grandson, Mike Wukich of IN; granddaughter, Debbie (Michael) Lieske of Westfield, IN; great-grandchildren, McKenna & Andrew; and sister, Wanda (Stanley) Bernat of Portage, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN, going to St. Mary Catholic Church, 321 Joliet Street, Crown Point, IN for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Rev. Patrick Kalich, officiating.  Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.  Friends may visit with Sophie’s family on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
