Ruth H. Altomere (nee Ackermann), age 57, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Weds, Nov. 7, 2012.  Ruth was a graduate of Merrillville High School, Class of 1974.  She was a former employee of Southlake Methodist Hospital and R-Place Restaurant in Merrillville, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Juergen & Hilde Ackermann.  She is survived by children, John Puza, Jr., Stephanie (Jason) Ezell and David Altomere; brothers, Claus (Karen) Ackermann, Michael (Lisa) Ackermann, and Mark Ackermann; sister, Sonya Peters; grandchild, Joshua; several nieces & nephews and many loving friends and co-workers.

Memorial service for friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 6795 Broadway, Merrillville, IN.  Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN in charge of arrangements. www.burnsfuneral.com
