John “Jack” Lee Welch, age 76, of Hobart, passed away Sunday evening, December 16, 2012 with his son and daughter by his side. Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from US Steel, and later worked for the City of Hobart Parks Department. Jack was met in Heaven by his loving wife, Carol Sue Welch and his granddaughter, Stacey Lee (Welch) Gospodarek. Surviving are two children, Sherry Weber and John (Patty) Welch, three grandchildren, Dustin (Casey) Weber, Nichole (Matt) Bull, Kristy (Kevin) Bish, brother James (Maureen) Welch, eight great grandchildren, Cailey, Cole, Riley, Cora, Jaxson, Spencer, Tyler, and Alexis Lee, and his mother-in-law, Ann Gade.
Friends may visit with family Thursday December 20th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th Street, Hobart, IN. Memorial service will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.
