Robert L. Bank, Sr..  age 62, of Lowell, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012.  Robert retired from B & O  CT (CSX) Railroad in Riverdale, IL. Robert enjoyed fishing, running his trains & RC Hobbies, grandchildren, nature walks in his yard, singing and being with his family.  Robert was preceded in by his father, John E. Bank and nephew, Eric Latham.  He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann M. (nee Vargas) Bank; children, Doreen (Jason) Gonzalez, Jennifer (Marty) Estrada, Alaine (Mark) Botts, & Robert (Kathleen) Bank, II; grandchildren, Martin, Alyssa, James, Rian, Macayla, Jaiden, and Robert, III; Mother, Genevieve (nee Plesniak) Bank; brothers & sisters, Karen Bank, John (Roxie) Bank, David (Sylvia) Bank, Laura Wright, Lawrence (Lorraine) Bank, Elizabeth (Todd) Martin, & Edward (Lisa) Bank; 17 nieces & nephews, numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncle, cousins and friends.

Friends may visit with Robert’s family on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, going to St. Edward Church, 216 S. Nichols St, Lowell, IN for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.  Rev. Ted Nordquist officiating.  Service will terminate at the church.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the St. Anthony Hospice.
