Esther Simpson, age 82, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.  She was a lab chemist at U. S. Steel for 15 years.  Esther was preceded in death by her children, Charles & Camille Simpson, her sister, Charlotte Bielak, and her loving companion of 50 years, Walter Grednuk.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon (late Lee) Grigsby and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service honoring Esther & Walter Grednuk, who passed in December of 2011, will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Chaplain Craig Showalter, officiating.  Friends may visit with Esther’s family on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. www.burnsfuneral.com
