Edward G. Carriedo, age 85, of Hobart, formerly of Gary, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012.

Edward retired from Indiana Central Engine & Equipment. He also worked for Beemsterboer Slag Corporation. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret (Fred) Brooks. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley; daughter, Carol (Chuck) Ragon; granddaughter, Jessica (Jonathan Beller) Ragon; brother, Robert (Yvonne) Carriedo; sister, Gloria (Gene) Smith; loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7 th Street, Hobart. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. (time of services). Services will terminate at the funeral home with cremation to follow at Burns Funeral Home Crematory.
