Royce H. Coulson, Sr. of Hobart, IN, May 13, 1924 – October 15, 2012

Royce H. Coulson, Sr., age 88 of Hobart and formerly of Highland, passed away October 15, 2012.  He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II and was a Shriner and member of the Garfield Masonic Lodge #569.  He was a pharmacist for over 50 years and was employed by Methodist Hospital and Eli Lilly.  He was also a former Director of Public Works for the town of Highland.  Royce was preceded in death by his wife Janice and brother Lores.   He is survived by his loving wife Nitsa; sons Royce, Jr. and David (Julie); step-daughter Angela (Chris Kirincic) Phillips; granddaughter Lilah and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may visit with Royce’s family on Thursday, October 18, 2012, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home,

701 E. 7th., Hobart, IN and from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church on Friday.  Funeral Service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Highland, 8727 Delaware, Highland, IN.  Rev. Dr. Laura Reason officiating.  Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Highland.  Royce was a very kind, caring and special person and he will be missed.
