Lillian B. Muldoon, 1921 – 2012. Lillian Bernice Moore Muldoon of Jacksonville, IL, and formerly of Portage, IN, died Friday morning, November 30, 2012, at home in Jacksonville, IL.
She was born on September 22, 1921, inDanville,IL, the daughter of Frank Warren and Lillie Edith Parkes Moore. She married James P. Muldoon on January 7, 1939, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1973. Lillian attendedEmersonHigh SchoolinGary,IN.She worked most of her life in various occupations. She is a member of theNorthwestSeventh-DayAdventistChurchinCrown Point,IN.She was very devoted to church work. She enjoyed antiquing, traveling and spending time with her family and loved ones. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Patti Roman (husband Nick), Mary Petruzelli-Gal (husband Alex), and one son James E. Muldoon (wife Linda); eight grandchilddren: Deanna Petruzelli, Christine Roth (husband Win), Mark Petruzelli (wife Beverly), Ronald Rushing, Shelley Applegate (husband Tom), Robert Bacon, William J. Muldoon (wife Trish)and Edward Muldoon (wife Emily); 13 great-grandchildren: Jennifer Jeffries, Brandon Jeffries, Andrew Roth, Kellen Roth, Ari Petruzelli, Danica Petruzelli, Darianna Petruzelli, Devon Rushing, Derrick Rushing, Rena Rushing, Alex Applegate, Zackery Applegate and Lily Applegate. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Kenneth Moore, Clarence Moore and Robert Moore; one sister, Louise Moore Chaney; one son, William L. Muldoon (surviving wife Lila) and one grandson, Brian Bacon.
Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th, Hobart, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church Northwest, 10570 Randolph, Crown Point. Services at the church will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment atCalvaryCemetery,Portage.
