Juanita Vega, age 84, ofValparaiso, an area resident for over 50 years, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.
Juanita was a member of theLakeStationPentecostalChurch.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Tomas Vega, in 1993, her daughter, Martita Vega, and son Carlos Vega. She is survived by her daughter Elba Vega of Hobart; five grandchildren: Priscilla, James, Jose Carlos, Madeline, and Tony; five great-grandchildren, and her siblings inPuerto Rico.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th St.,Hobart. Prayer services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Burns Funeral Home. Interment will follow atCalumetParkCemetery,Merrillville,IN.
