Marvin W. Aumiller, age 72, of Merrillville, formerly of Hammond, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013.  Marvin was a graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1958.  He was an employed as a Wholesale Food Service rep for over 50 years and was awarded the Million Dollar Service Award multiple times.  He was an avid golfer and bowler.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother and a very loving, caring, and giving person.  Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Daniel on Jan. 22, 2012, his parents, Audrey & Shirley F. Aumiller and brother, Richard Aumiller.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine F. Aumiller; 3 children, Michael Aumiller, James Aumiller both at home, and Melissa (Chuck) Severs of Portage; 3 grandchildren, Justin Tibbs, Stephanie Tibbs, both of Portage, and Kaitlyn Aumiller of Hobart; sister, Shirley Jean (Wayne) Barnes of Rockville, IN; sister-n-law, Mary Ann (Caesar) Morales of San Diego, CA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may visit with Marvin’s family on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.  Rev. John Starr officiating.  Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation following.
