William N Roytan of Crown Point, IN, April 2, 1932 – September 20, 2012

William N. Roytan, age 80, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Glen Park, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012.  Bill attended Kansas State, Arkansas State, and Georgia State.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Korean War.  He was a member of American Legion Post 20 in Crown Point.  He coached CYO Football in the 70’s and taught Red Cross Swimming at Fisher Pool.  Bill was a member of Club Deb and the Eastside Boosters.  He was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Merrillville.  Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret in 1980, his son, John Roytan in 2001, his parents, Nicholas C. & Lillian B. Roytan and brother, Nicholas B. Roytan.  He is survived by his children, William (Pam) Roytan of Carmel, IN, Barbara (Robby) Klaich of Hammond, Michael Roytan and Mark (Sherry) Roytan both of Texas;  7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dennis & Barbara Durkin, Alex & Karen Matlove, and Chuck & Norma Bocca all of Crown Point, and Rex and Carol Atchison and their children, Angela, Pam, and Scotty of Schererville.  Friends and family will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point and proceed to Calumet Park Cemetery mausoleum for services at 12 noon.  www.burnsfuneral.com
