Susan G. Ellison, age 57, of Crown Point, formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents: Vivian and Peter Poulos and brother Teddy Poulos.

She is survived by her son Robert (Debbie) Campion of Hebron; daughters: Jenny (Scott) Kraus of Crown Point and Jamie Ellison of WA; grandchildren: Jodi and Shawn Campion, Devan, Kayla and Keagan Kraus and Michael and Eddie Jewell; boyfriend, Patrick Crowley; sisters: Sharon Varvaris and Sally (Joe) Carmona both of Chicago.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. John Starr officiating

Patrick K. Flanagan, “Snookey”, age 65, of Roselawn IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Patrick was a graduate of Merrillville High School, Class of 1967. He retired from US Steel-Sheet & Tin Mill Division after 30 years of service. He was the former Assistant Fire Chief of the Lincoln Township Fire Department in Thayer, IN. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Mary Flanagan. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Esther E. Flanagan; his children, Michael Flanagan of Roselawn, Kelly (Brandie) Flanagan of Wheatfield, and Tara (Michael) Platusic of Hobart; 8 grandchildren, Dylan, Tanner, Abigail, Kelly Joe, Jr., Kaylie, Kristen, Morgan, Michael, and Kyle; 1 great-granddaughter, Raven; sisters, Sissy Partin of Demotte, Kitty (Machael) Wayte of Westville, Joanne (Ralph) Caudel of Star City, IN, & Jeanne Augustine of Lake Station; brothers, Steve (MaryAnn) Trpezanovich of Merrillville, and Dennis (Irene) Flanagan of Portage, many nieces and nephews.

Jessica A. Baker (nee Rabatine) age 61 of Hobart, passed away February 20, 2013. She was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1969 and a retired employee of the School City of Hobart. Jessie enjoyed her flowers but her greatest joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her father John Rabatine. Jessie is survived by her husband Rod Baker; daughter Valerie (Dave) Hall of Indianapolis and son Matthew Baker of Hobart; 2 granddaughters Mia and Isla; mother Marcie Rabatine; twin sister Jenny Rabatine of Algonquin, IL and sister Susie Rabatine of Chicago. Robert S Mandon of Hobart, IN, December 30, 1955 – February 18, 2013

Robert S. “Booboo” Mandon, age 57 of Hobart passed away February 18, 2013. He was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School Class of 1974. He retired from UPS in 2012 after 34 years of safe driving and was inducted into the Circle of Honor in 2003. He was an avid fisherman and Bears, Sox and IU fan. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Bob fought a valiant battle against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) for the past year. Throughout his fight his battle cry was “self pity is for punks.”

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Sophie Mandon. Bob is survived by his devoted loving wife of 30 years Jamie; 1 son Adam (Lindsay) Mandon of Hobart; 3 grandchildren Logan James, Mason Robert and Ella Sophia; 2 brothers Tom (Sally) Mandon of Carmel and James (Diane) Mandon of Hobart; sister Georgian (Donald) Hobbs of Indianapolis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Please celebrate Bob’s life with his family and friends on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7^th St., Hobart, Mary Ziemkowski officiating. Patricia L. Curley, age 79 of Hobart, passed away February 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Curley and sister, JoAnne Deckman. Pat is survived by brother Jack Curley of Valparaiso, sister Mary Bennett of Florida and numerous nephews and nieces. Pat graduated from Holy Angels School and Horace Mann High School and retired from Commercial Credit and Bart Sikich Realty. Pat was dearly loved by many friends and her Bridge club of 60 years. Friends may visit with Pat’s family on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7^th St., Hobart.
