Maxine Lillian Parr of Crown Point, Indiana, October 5, 1917 – December 5, 2012

Maxine L. Parr, nee Prosser, age 95, of  Crown Point, IN, formerly of Gary, passed away on Wednesday, December 05, 2012.  She was born in Gary, IN and was a graduate of Emerson High School and Bryant & Stratton Business College of Chicago.  Maxine was a former member of First Presbyterain Church in Gary & Merrillville and a current member of First Presbyterian Church in Crown Point.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dean Parr and parents, Stanley & Faun Prosser.  She is survived by her son, Jack (Gayle) Parr of Schererville and daughter, Linda (Terry) Novotny of Crown Point; 5 grandchildren, Kevin (Marisol) Parr, Deborah (Omar) Shabaz,  Polly (Steve) Boruff, Jimmy (Mary) Thomas, and Annie (Jason) Meadows; and 7 great-grandchildren.

from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN.  Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home.  Rev. David K. Eugenia Yaselsky of Hobart, Indiana, December 29, 1926 – December 2, 2012

 

Eugenia J. (nee Kalinowski) Yaselsky, age 85, of Hobart, passed away on

Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Eugenia was a retired teller supervisor of Bank of Indiana, primarily Glen Park Branch, since 1960. She later worked in the jewelry department at Carson Pirie & Scott at the Southlake Mall. She was a member of St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary for many years.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her husband Peter Yaselsky and her parents.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Historic Maplewood Cemetery, Crown Point. Burns Funeral Home-Crown Point in charge of arrangements.
