Norma E. Paskash, age 83, of Hobart, passed away February 12, 2013. She earned Bachelors and Masters degrees and was Assistant Director of Nursing at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was also a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Norma was preceded in death by her son Robert Paskash and brothers Emil Wente and Wendell Wente. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Adams of Hobart and son Steve (Marian) Paskash of DeMotte; brother Donald (Barb) Wente; sister Dorothy (Vernon) Ruskosky; and 5 grandchildren Audrey Castaneda, Eric (Kara) Castaneda, Elaine Castaneda, Jennifer Paskash and Alex Paskash. Bridget Hatala-Pozzo, age 39 of Valparaiso, passed away on February 8, 2013. She was born in East Chicago and graduated from Merrillville High School, class of 1991. She received her BA in Accounting from Indiana University and previously worked as a CPA. Bridget was an active member of Club Wonder for special needs children.

She was preceded in death by her in-laws – Patricia and William Pozzo and unborn son, Henry Pozzo. Bridget is survived by her husband, William Pozzo and daughter, Polly Pozzo of Valparaiso; parents – Gene and Janet Hatala of Valparaiso; sisters – Lisa (Scott) Beishuizen of Valparaiso, Pam (John) Pakradooni of Redding, PA and Tracy (Dan) Tomich of Crown Point; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Cynthia Hepp (nee Villarreal), age 62 of Gary, passed away February 7, 2013. Cindy was an attentive and loving daughter, sister and caregiver. She was employed by St. Anthony Hospital for 30 years. Preceded in death by father, Oscar Villarreal. Cindy is survived by her mother, Elvira Villarreal of Gary; brothers – Louis (Rachel) Villarreal of East Chicago and Joseph Villarreal of Gary; half sister – Virginia (Dan) Mulvihill of Livonia, MI; aunts – Isabel Freeman of Hebron and Christina Nunez of Indianapolis; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; husband – Robert Hepp of Lowell and devoted friend, Juan Arevalo.

Funeral service Monday, February 11, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7^th St., Hobart, Rev. Andrew Corona officiating. Esther Simpson, age 82, of Merrillville, IN, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was a lab chemist at U. S. Steel for 15 years. Esther was preceded in death by her children, Charles & Camille Simpson, her sister, Charlotte Bielak, and her loving companion of 50 years, Walter Grednuk.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon (late Lee) Grigsby and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service honoring Esther & Walter Grednuk, who passed in December of 2011, will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN. Kristina M. Jackson, (nee Danilaitis) “Tina/Tee-Tee”, age 41 of Crown Point, IN, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 4, 2013. Kristina, known to all as “Tina” or “Tee-

Tee” is now at peace after a chronic battle with multiple medical conditions over the past several years. Tina is survived by the love of her life and best birthday present ever, her beautiful and amazing daughter, Shannon Jackson (father, Kirk Jackson of Hobart, IN)her loving and devoted parents, Peter and Elena Danilaitis of Crown Point, IN; her sister, Dawn (Jim Orzechowicz) Czekala of Hobart, IN; nieces, Rachel and Michelle Hamnik and great nephew, Connor Michael; brother, Pete (Karen) Danilaitis of Lakeland, MN; nieces, Mackenzie, Kaitlyn, and Emily, and nephew Dustin,, also many aunts, uncles cousins, her extended family and dear friends, especially Pam (Reynolds) Neel. Tina was a graduate of Crown Point High School, Class of 1989, she attended Purdue University, Lafayette and Medical Careers Institute in Chicago, where she earned her certification in Neurodiagnostics. Tina had a 17-year career as a Neurodiagnostic Technician. She worked at Child Neurology, Inc in South Bend, IN and Porter Health Systems in Valparaiso. She was employed as a Technical Specialist at Compumedics, Inc. Although working, her job allowed her to fulfill one of her goals in life, to travel throughout the United States. She was most recently employed with Dr. Richard Silberman at Neurology Associates of Northwest Indiana, P.C. in Valparaiso. Tina was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, Aunt, and friend. She was an avid sports fan, especially football and baseball. Tina could call the plays of a football game better than the announcers. Tina was a devoted fan to her beloved Chicago Cubs. Tina’s favorite season, next to baseball season, was summer. She loved grilling, festivals, music, the summer concerts at LOFS and her favorite local band, Nawty, but her favorite places of all were the beach and Wrigley Field. Tina’s blonde ponytail, bright white smile and outgoing personality lit up a room and left an impression on everyone she met. The family is encouraging all to share any thoughts, pictures, funny stories or just words of encouragement to be compiled in a memory book for her daughter, Shannon. Yolanda Benard, age 78, of Crown Point, IN formerly of South Holland, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Yolanda was a graduate of St. Felicitus Elementary School in Chicago, Aquinas High School, and Commonwealth Business School. She was an associate of the Congregation de Notre Dame and many Holy Spirit Church groups. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Benard. Yolanda is survived by her daughter, Dorian (Bruce) Laumann; son, LTC Andrew J. (Suzanne) Benard; grandchildren, Eric & Jessica Laumann, and many loving friends from Holy Spirit Church in Winfield, IN, St. Jude the Apostle Church in South Holland, IL and the Archdiocese of Chicago.
